First Aid Awareness Training

Our first aid awareness course is designed specifically for staff working in the care environment.

Designed to give an introduction to the signs, symptoms & basic treatment of a range of common illnesses & injuries & to give your staff the confidence to perform effective CPR in the case of an emergency, this course is interactive, effective & fun. Subjects covered include:
BLS Asthma Angina Epilepsy Bleeding
Choking Diabetes Heart Attack Burns Fractures
Who should complete this training session This session is targeted to those who are working in any work or social environment. Basic Life Support is a great knowledge to have at home and at work. In the care setting we recommend that Nurses, Senior Care Assistants, Care Assistants and Ancillary staff should complete this session so that all the workforce are equipped with the knowledge of Basic Life Support. How it is Delivered Trainers use a power point presentation accompanied with video clips. There are group discussions and activities which are feedback to the trainer. There is also a practical element to this training which everyone must participate in. We recommend that candidates wear comfortable clothing and suitable footwear. How this session is assessed Trainers will use questioning both oral and written to test competence as well as observation during practical element of the session.
