Young Stars Programme Returns

Want first-hand experience and training? A direct pathway into Health & Social Care? And to get paid while you learn?
Peninsula Care Services are excited to announce the return of our Young Stars Programme, combining a Health & Social Care QCF Level 2 & 3 Diploma with a minimum of 20 hours per week paid work experience as a Community Care Worker.
Peninsula Care Services are a multi-award-winning independent provider of social care, nursing staff, domiciliary care, and training across Northern Ireland. With over 15 years of industry-leading experience, we are delighted to offer young people the opportunity to develop their practical caring skills in an environment which nurtures education with hands-on practical learning.
The Young Stars Programme won’t be like formal education; it focuses on putting you at the heart of your education, training, and development. Providing a minimum of 20 hours a week of first-hand training and paid work experience, whilst you work alongside others to complete your Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care.
Not only will you have a diploma certificate in Health & Social Care, but you will have hands-on experience from a recognised care facilitator.
During the programme you will work as a community care worker, travelling from house to house and providing care to vulnerable individuals. This may be assisting with washing and dressing, meal preparation or giving medication. During this time, you will work on skills such as communication, empathy, teamwork, and much more.
We have 2 positions available and are looking for applicants aged 16–19 who have completed their secondary education; however, results do not matter, and applicants must be willing to take the next step into practical learning.
To apply, send a cover letter providing interest to:

Closing date: 27 th August 2026.
